Senior Backend Engineer — Tech Lead
Engineering · Kathmandu, Nepal (Onsite) · Full-time
Start date: available from Mangsir 1 (November 17, 2026)
About Husig
Husig (Human Signal Pvt. Ltd.) is an AI and data solutions consultancy based in Kathmandu, Nepal, building products and engineering teams for clients and its own ventures across compliance automation, conversational AI, data annotation, and real estate AI. This role sits on the team building one of Husig's own products.
About the Product
A full transaction OS for real estate: e-signature workflow, a structured seller-to-buyer property handoff document, and a post-closing marketplace connecting movers, inspectors, and other service providers to a deal's actual condition. Phase 1 is a real pilot with 1–2 brokerages, not a demo, built by a small, senior, AI-native team — every developer uses Claude for day-to-day development, with mandatory human review on anything touching money or law.
Team: Product Engineering · Reports to: the founder (part-time, architecture sign-off rather than day-to-day)
Why This Role Exists
The founder is part-time for now, focused on occasional architecture sign-off rather than daily direction — this hire is the day-to-day technical lead. Not a second peer to the existing backend engineer: this person owns architecture, is the primary reviewer of every AI-generated pull request, and stands up CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and the security baseline in week 1. There is no dedicated DevOps/Platform Engineer on this team — that ground is covered by this role, using AI-assisted scaffolding rather than a separate hire.
The Stack
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Technical Leadership (35%)
- Own architecture, with the founder available for occasional sign-off, including the two-pillar data model (structured property handoff + service marketplace)
- Design multi-tenant, row-level tenant isolation from day one
- Own the jurisdiction-rules-engine design for the pilot state(s)
Foundations & Infrastructure (30%)
- Stand up CI/CD with required checks (lint, type-check, tests, security scanning) in week 1
- Infrastructure as code (Terraform/CDK) for the AWS reference architecture
- Secrets management and observability (structured logging, error tracking) from day one
Code Review & AI-Native Practice (20%)
- Primary reviewer of AI-generated code across the team
- Enforce the safe-to-AI-generate vs. always-human-verified split (jurisdiction rules, commission math, e-signature webhooks, auth)
- 2-approval rule on anything money- or legal-adjacent
Integration Work (15%)
- 3rd-party e-signature vendor integration, including webhook/callback handling
- The marketplace's payment and commission-ledger logic
Must-Have
- 5+ years backend engineering, including real ownership of architecture decisions, not just feature delivery
- Deep Python + FastAPI (or a directly transferable async Python framework) experience, comfortable with Pydantic-style validation for deeply nested data
- Hands-on AWS experience (RDS, S3, container-based compute, IAM, Secrets Manager) and infrastructure as code
- Comfortable directing AI coding tools (Claude Code or similar) as a daily practice, with the judgment to review AI-generated code critically, not rubber-stamp it
- Experience with relational schema design for multi-tenant SaaS
- Professional English; comfortable being the primary technical decision-maker day to day
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with e-signature or payment-webhook integrations
- Experience in real estate, fintech, or another compliance-adjacent vertical
- Prior tech-lead or staff-engineer experience at an early-stage startup
- Flutter/Dart familiarity, to review mobile code even if not authoring it
First 90 Days
- 30 days: CI/CD live with required checks; IaC deployed for staging + prod; multi-tenant schema and tenant-aware auth in place
- 60 days: both pillars' data models built; e-signature vendor integrated in sandbox
- 90 days: both pillars feature-complete for the pilot state; review discipline running smoothly on every PR
What We Offer
- The highest-leverage technical role on a small, senior, AI-native team — real architectural ownership, not a ticket queue
- Competitive compensation commensurate with the scope of this role
- Direct line to the founder on every major technical decision
How to Apply
Send your CV plus a short note on a system you architected from scratch — what you chose, why, and what you'd do differently. Links to code (GitHub) welcome. Submit to careers@husig.ai, with salary expectations.
Technical Product Manager
Product & Engineering · Kathmandu, Nepal (Onsite) · Full-time
Start date: available from Mangsir 1 (November 17, 2026)
About Husig
Husig (Human Signal Pvt. Ltd.) is an AI and data solutions consultancy based in Kathmandu, Nepal. This role sits on the team building one of Husig's own products: a full transaction OS for real estate, currently in its Phase 1 pilot build.
Team: Product Engineering · Reports to: the founder (part-time)
Why This Role Exists
A week-1 hire, not a month-2 addition. The founder is part-time for now and isn't driving vision, roadmap, or day-to-day prioritization — that can't just be dropped, and nobody else on the team is positioned to own it. This role owns product direction for the two pillars, runs delivery coordination, and tracks the cross-team dependencies owed by cofounders outside engineering (pilot state confirmation, e-signature vendor, pilot brokerage). "Technical" matters: you need enough fluency in how the product actually works to make real trade-off calls, not just track a board.
Key Responsibilities
Product Direction & Roadmap (35%)
- Own prioritization and roadmap sequencing for the two product pillars in the founder's absence from day-to-day decisions
- Make real scope trade-off calls informed by the product's actual technical shape, in partnership with the tech lead
Sprint & Delivery Coordination (30%)
- Run the team's sprint cadence; track both pillars against the roadmap
- Surface blockers early, especially where they trace back to an external dependency
Cross-Team Dependency Tracking (25%)
- Own the dependency checklist with the cofounders running go-to-market and compliance (pilot state confirmation, e-signature vendor contract, pilot brokerage)
- Keep engineering unblocked by chasing these proactively, not reactively
Reporting & Communication (10%)
- Status reporting to the founder
- Document decisions alongside the tech lead's architecture decision records
Must-Have
- 3+ years in product management or technical program/project management in a software engineering context, ideally at an early-stage startup
- Comfortable owning roadmap and prioritization calls, not just tracking a delivery board
- Technical enough to understand a data model and an integration constraint well enough to make a real trade-off call, without needing to write the code yourself
- Comfortable running a lean process for a ~7-person team without over-processing it
- Strong written communication; comfortable tracking dependencies across internal and external (cofounder) stakeholders
- Professional English
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in real estate, proptech, or another regulated vertical
- Experience owning product direction with a founder who isn't full-time on day-to-day decisions
- Experience working with a Nepal-based engineering team alongside a remote/international founder
First 90 Days
- 30 days: roadmap and sprint cadence running; dependency tracker live
- 60 days: making real prioritization calls independently, reporting rhythm established with the founder and cofounders
- 90 days: coordinating the go/no-go readiness review for pilot launch
How to Apply
Send your CV plus a short note on a product/roadmap decision you owned end-to-end on a past project — the trade-off, and why you called it that way. Submit to careers@husig.ai, with salary expectations.
QA / Automation Engineer
Engineering & Quality · Kathmandu, Nepal (Onsite) · Full-time
Start date: available from Mangsir 1 (November 17, 2026)
About Husig
Husig (Human Signal Pvt. Ltd.) is an AI and data solutions consultancy based in Kathmandu, Nepal. This role sits on the team building one of Husig's own products: a full transaction OS for real estate, built by a small, senior, AI-native team where every developer uses Claude for day-to-day development.
Team: Product Engineering · Reports to: the tech lead
Why This Role Exists
AI-generated code that looks right and quietly isn't is the real risk on this build — specifically in commission math, e-signature callback handling, and jurisdiction rules. This role starts in month 1 in both scenarios, not bolted on in month 4, and owns adversarial verification of exactly those surfaces, not just "does the feature run."
The Stack You'll Be Testing
Key Responsibilities
Test Pyramid & CI Gates (40%)
- Build and maintain unit/integration coverage floors, specifically on the two product pillars
- Wire tests into CI as required merge gates; own flake control
Adversarial / Money-Adjacent Testing (35%)
- Deep, adversarial testing on the property-handoff document's gap-detection logic
- The marketplace's commission ledger and e-signature webhook/callback handling
- Jurisdiction-rule edge cases for the pilot state(s)
Mobile & Cross-Platform QA (15%)
- App testing across all 5 portals on iOS/Android using the team's test device lab
Release Quality (10%)
- Pre-pilot regression passes, bug triage, clear repros for the tech lead
Must-Have
- 3+ years in QA/test automation, ideally with a Python backend and a mobile app in scope
- Comfortable writing real test code (pytest or equivalent), not just manual test cases
- CI/CD experience
- An adversarial mindset — specifically comfortable reviewing AI-generated code and features for what could quietly be wrong, not just whether it runs
- Professional English
Nice-to-Have
- Flutter
integration_test or mobile device-cloud testing experience
- Experience testing payment- or webhook-heavy systems
- Experience in a regulated or compliance-adjacent domain
First 90 Days
- 30 days: test pyramid and CI gates live
- 60 days: adversarial suites covering both pillars in place
- 90 days: mobile QA running on the device lab; pre-pilot regression process defined
How to Apply
Send your CV plus a short note on a test suite or framework you built — what you chose, why, and what broke that it caught. Submit to careers@husig.ai, with salary expectations.
HR / Payroll / Admin Generalist
Operations · Kathmandu, Nepal (Onsite) · Full-time
Start date: available from Mangsir 1 (November 17, 2026)
About Husig
Husig (Human Signal Pvt. Ltd.) is an AI and data solutions consultancy based in Kathmandu, Nepal. This role supports the team building one of Husig's own products: a full transaction OS for real estate, currently staffing up for its Phase 1 pilot build.
Team: Operations support · Reports to: the founder (part-time)
Why This Role Exists
Brought in week 1, alongside the tech lead, specifically to process onboarding, payroll, and paperwork for everyone else joining over the following weeks — a generalist operations role, not a senior HR specialist. Delaying this hire just means the tech lead does admin instead of their actual job.
Key Responsibilities
Onboarding & Payroll (50%)
- Process hiring paperwork for each new team member as they land
- Run monthly payroll and manage statutory compliance (PF/SSF) for the team
Office & Admin (30%)
- Manage office setup, including hardware procurement and backup power
- Vendor and contractor invoicing
HR Generalist Support (20%)
- Leave tracking, contracts, and offer letters as the team grows
Must-Have
- 1–3 years in an HR/admin/office-management generalist role, ideally at a small company or startup
- Familiarity with Nepal payroll and statutory requirements (PF/SSF)
- Organized, comfortable being the first point of contact for a growing team
- Professional English
Nice-to-Have
- Experience setting up HR/payroll processes from scratch at an early-stage company
- Basic bookkeeping familiarity
First 90 Days
- 30 days: onboarding process for the rest of the hiring plan running smoothly; payroll live
- 60 days: office fully set up; admin processes running
- 90 days: HR processes (leave, contracts) running independently
How to Apply

UI/UX Designer — Project Engagement
Design · Remote or Kathmandu · Contract (Project-based)
Start date: available from Mangsir 1 (November 17, 2026)
About Husig
Husig (Human Signal Pvt. Ltd.) is an AI and data solutions consultancy based in Kathmandu, Nepal. This engagement covers one of Husig's own products: a full transaction OS for real estate, currently building its Phase 1 pilot around two product pillars.
Why This Engagement Exists
One designer, engaged project-based — not a full-time hire — for a fixed project fee, covering both flagship pillars' UX plus the mobile design system for all 5 portals. A fixed-scope deliverable matched to Phase 1's build window, not an ongoing role.
Deliverables
- The property-handoff document's authoring flow: the seller-facing guided data-entry experience, and the buyer-facing handoff view
- The marketplace onboarding flow: vendor listing/signup screens and the client-facing browsing experience
- A mobile design system covering all 5 portals, built for one-to-one implementation in Flutter
- Developer-ready handoff: Figma specs and assets, not just concept mockups
Must-Have
- A portfolio showing real shipped product design work, ideally a SaaS or a data/document-heavy product
- Comfortable designing for both mobile (Flutter-buildable) and server-rendered web (forms, tables, documents — not a SPA)
- Figma fluency and real developer-handoff experience
- Available for a fixed-scope engagement (project fee, not hourly or FTE) aligned to Phase 1's timeline
Nice-to-Have
- Experience designing for real estate, fintech, or another compliance-adjacent product
- Experience designing a single design system used consistently across multiple portal types
How to Apply
Send your portfolio plus a proposed timeline and fee against the deliverables above to careers@husig.ai.
